Just saying, I have been using saws near 50 years and the few saws i had with those adjusters I don't remember a significant problem keeping them working satisfactory. I don't doubt the standard adjuster is a stouter more reliable set up and at a point necessary for longer and heavier bar and chains but on the other hand the toolless is often handy on the smaller saws, at least the ones using picco bars and chains. I don't recollect using the toolless set up with bigger then 16inch. 325 which i don't recollect a problem other then I believe a small screw backing out of 1 , likely wasn't tight in the first place.
