Things must be going to hell here lately. I leave on a month long pokerstars/cheap beer binge and come back to all of this.

Spring is here, the snow will melt in Canada in just 3 more months, get outside and fire up your saws, get in a good mood, then post something upbeat tonight.
I haven't read too many of the threads this morning, don't really
want to, between poker, beer, and rednecks with mowers, I don't have the time.
You guys complete me.........

Glad to see you back Fish, we really need some fresh input into this forum. Here was my winter project--

That's the trailer I need!

Only with sides on it!

Northern has a 4-wheel trailer chassis for about $230 of about 2200 lbs capacity. Looks good although they kill a guy on the shipping.

What a preaty trailor, Sure would be a shame to bring it up here. I'd have that nice piece of barb wire around it all messed up in no time.

Hey Max,
A 2200 lb capacity trailer frame would be built about like a WalMart shopping cart. Those dollies at Home Depot will carry more than 2200 lbs. Trailers are not rocket science, it's just a welded steel table frame with an axle attached. Check your local welders/ trailer builders. 4 important things to look for are
1- Steel gauge
2- welding (spot welded or beads, quality of welds)
3- quality/ spacing of cross members
4- axle rating
Typically the axle rating will be your limiting factor in a trailer. Cheapos are 1500 lbs and good ones will be 6K or better(per axle).

Thanks for the good advice. Maybe I can find something used but heavy-duty in this area.

Hey Fish, where you bean? Get on here, and help weed out the thin skinned snivelers. Things are looking more like a basket weaving workshop than a chainsaw forum.
I think you're just ticked off cause your not the new moderator.
Don't make me call you again with the 088 held to the pin. LOL
