Just wondering what you folks consider the life expectancy of the average professional chainsaw. I'm talkin' about saws that are used everyday for guys/gals who make a livin' with these wonderful creations. Hours of use..?...., cords of wood? Keeping in mind regular maintenance and no mods. When do most pros retire or recycle their prised possessions?
Lamberts and the like (chainsaw babies), input is appreciated too.

Hey Dennis, I think heffayinthebush is Rolf from Creemore Ontario. Rolf bought my original 357 from me. I will go out to see him soon, just to show him how to cut wood. Rolf is the guy who has all the bullet holes in his Toyota I believe.

In a perfect world they used to say

2000 hours for a perfect saw, prefectly maintained, perfect fuel etc..

I don't think anyone publishes a number anymore?
