Chipper Identification Time!

Time to play everyones favorite game! What the hell is this thing! Guy "re did" everything and told me it was a Mid-South or maybe an old Asplund.

Has a ford 2.3l in it. I dont know if its a ranger 4banger or an industrial

Main problem I have is that it starts HARD when cold, he added a fuel shutoff by the tank and says it helps but it doesnt seem to. Run like a champ when running

You can shoot the chips to the side or straight

asplundh yes, frame, gas tank, chute, chute support, fold down infeed.... all look identical to my asplundh jex

What year is yours? looking to get new blades and a new anvil for it, i know next to nothing about these

Not exactly sure on the age, mid to late 70's i believe. I am still slowly putting mine together but I remember finding aftermarket blades and maybe anvils searching online. Mine are still usable, I was checking for parts availability. It was a while back but I got a hold of Altec (i think) they are quite helpful, sent me all the info they had on my model.

Think there are several places like this one for blades, maybe they have or know where to get the anvil.
