Possible circlip came undone...hmm?
Hi,
Thanks, circlips are intact.

Looks like the top of the counterweight is rubbing the inside of casing.

It's not centered.

The only thing that would allow that to me is a bad bearing?

Hi,
Here is some pics...

You can see where it is making contact.

Crankshaft has no side to side play I can feel?

Hi,
Thanks, I used a "knocker" to remove the flywheel, but did not think I hit it that hard.

Tapped it back the other way and it is now centered but still making the scrapping noise.

Probably need to remove the crankshaft and see whats going on?

Never saw this before, but...

Try flushing out the bottom end with some mix. Maybe some debris snuck in when you were working on it. Also, check the coil is not rubbing on the flywheel. Not sure on echo but gap about 0.012"

Hi,
Thanks, it is clean and the flywheel is completely off, so...

Thinking it is a bearing problem?

Hi,
LOL!

YOU DA MAN!

Well, the brake band was jammed on the clutch drum and everything is free now although...

There was some scrapping as shown in the pics.

All I could think of was that a bearing had give up.

Seems to be free and feels good anyway.

Guess I'll put it back together and try it again.

Thanks, learning all the time!
