arborwear pants year round.

My thighs are still too big from when I used to do squats, I wear 36's in the summer, bought some seconds direct from the the "factory" and they were way too tight; both the jeans and the original style.

38's in the winter, to tuck the under layers in, but the sag these punk suburbanite kids you see these days. "Yo yo wazup, they changed the gate code, I can't get into he hood you"

i haven't bee real impressed with Arborwear for the money.

Kinda cheap if you ask me.i blew the crotch out of a pair and theu weren't that old.

Unless its poison ivy day, I wear shorts every day and yes, the legs get shredded, in the tree or not. Hot sweaty long pants just wear me down way too fast. Don't like the heat AT ALL. Give me winter everyday, all year long.

Good description of Arborwear pants, but they aren't made in the states (Mexico). They are headquartered in Ohio (right near me) and the owner is a cool guy.

I don't think they last any longer than any other pants, but they are very comfortable and I like the way they fit. Would I pay full price, nope. But they are well worth the 20 or so bucks I usually pay for them. So I say support the little guy and give them a try when ya find them on sale.

Thought I would post an update on my shorts climbing expo. I did it again today and liked it. Main thing was the saw, and I figured out just to let it hang long on the lanyard to keep it off the legs.

What the heck, here's a shot of me workin it in my new duds.

Very stylish. Few boo boos....so what. Used to climb with a Poulan Super 25 DA (best climbing saw in the world at the time) and that gave some super nasty muffler burns.

I use a leg strap on handsaw and scabbord. Just switched over to the Stihl model. You have to convert it and put straps on it. It is a little bit short but, man does it cut.

Yeah yeah, try it on a spruce, better yet, a dead spruce, better yet a dead spruce covered in ivy. See how you feel then. :greenchainsaw:

Reality is, I'll be wearing shorts on roughly 1% of my jobs, pants on the rest, and the occasional skirt, so depending on where this spruce falls into the schedule I probably be wearing pants for it, then again there is that fraction of a chance..... :kilt:

Take photo's. You can solve the riddle of what tree men wear under their kilts once and for all.
