Persistant falsehoods....

Mark,

You are wasting your time, people who are never wrong always have a response to make you continually do all the work when they do not have any facts to substantiate their position.

I go through it all the time with my Studebakers with people telling me that Ford made the Studebaker 289, etc. You can show them all the proof in the world but they will never admit they are wrong.

Since I have a couple of Craftsman/Roper 3.7's and Mac 10-10's so I will be happy to accept any extra bars you have in order to do a test fit for the group.

Yep. Ford made the 289 for Studebaker (and Chevy made their 327). AMC made the 304 for International Harvester. Since I've read those statements in magazines and on the internet, then they must be true. I guess the 392 in my '71 IHC pickup is actually an early Hemi, since it's the same displacement as the old Mopars...:dizzy:

Along the same lines.......Since Chevy made a 292 straight six, does that mean that they made the Y-Blocks for Ford too? Hmmm. GMC had a 302ci straight six. Guess they made small block V8's for Ford. GMC had a 351V6. They must have made the Cleaveland, Windsor, and M V8's of that displacement for Ford while they were at it. Buick had a 225V6, guess they made the Slant-6 for the mopars too since they're the same displacement..:jester:
