Installed new crank shaft, bearings, seals, piston rings, honed cylinder,
carb kit, DP cover and chain catcher. She hit on second pull, run
on the third pull. Piston has some wear, had a set of new rings
that was in some other stuff I bought on ebay. If she runs the way
she starts and idles I will be very happy. We are get snow showers
here today, May get to run her tomorrow.

With out AS and this thread (Link below) I would have never been able
to replace the crank and bearings....Thanks Lake

Forget all your work inside the saw, I wanna know just how you got that saw that clean? I'm gonna go see if the Cuda has left the building.

Saw looks great. Good job there.....

Well I checked, the Cuda is still in the room here. You spent some time on that saw and it shows it, looks great!!

Thanks............This is my first time at changing crank and bearings
........I was nerves to say the least.......all crap aside, I'm proud as
a peacock with how it turned out...........but will need to put a few
tanks through it, before I trust it..........

Had to run it, after supper run 3/4 of a tank cutting 22" dia Post Oak
cookies also took the 064 along. Both have 24" BC W/Stihl RM
chain. 066 has a 7 pin, 064 8 pin and will cut faster if I just let the
saws cut, but use the dogs 066 will win.......next time both will have
8 pin sprocket. Both have DP cover, 064 sounds much better than 066
then I remembered I drilled two holes in the front of baffle, inside muffler on the 064.

This is how I looked after running the saws :D

After setting all night in the upper 30's deg she was running in four pulls
and idling nicely......Think I'm going to try to find a 044 project saw or
another 066, have everything for a 066 but the case.

Thanks

Hey, I'll give you $18.00 for the saw. Shoot round it up to $20.00 and I'll even pay shipping.;)

Again, nice job. I would like to be able to do that some day. This site is starting to give me the itch.

PA, Did you read the fine print? :D

And its a itch that no ointment, pills or shot will help :bang:

Fine Print? Still don't see it. Funny you mention that. My wife says I don't hear so well sometimes. Must be related to my eyesight.
