Took down a cherry that has been waiting for me to have time and the weather to change from rain, rain, and more rain. A 16" cherry that "Y"ed about 12 feet up and was leaning forward over a bunch of kids crap. Big wood swingset and playhouse, and two trees close in, one right in front of it...another cherry, even nicer than this one.

First time on spikes, you climbers can have them, I'll keep their use to a minimum. Comfort comes with experience I guess. Broke in my brand new Labonville chaps...liking them. Got to use my new 'ho chains, and hit an nail on the first 2" of the first cut, then the oiler went out on the 066 half way through the next one.

The 3120 worked flawlessly, though and I got 6 decent cherry boards and plenty of firewood for another friend of mine. The Alaskan, however, lost a bolt, minor, I know, but just adds to the day. The Super XL was acting up a bit, but it hasn't run for a while either. Got better as the day went on. Made a bunch of curly fries with it since the 066 was down.

Forgot the camera, as usual, and my extra gallon of bar oil. Had enough anyway. May get some shots tomorrow morning of the carnage before it all gets cleaned up. I'm off to install a dishwasher for my MIL and replace the trim around a door. Yay.

A nearly perfect day, Oldsaw! Got some nice cherry, fixed a yard problem, ran some saws and even got a few new projects!! Much better than going to work!
