After 6 years, it runs. Big thanks to Lewis Brander. Without his metering diaphrams, it wouldn't work. It still needs some adjustments for fuel mixtures, but will work on that this weekend. It would cut better with bucking spikes.

Disston D0-101.

Hi McC. Well, now I know of a second D0-101 that works. Good to see her going. I was hoping that someone might have gotten a bit of video of my Disston at the GTG, but the pics that were posted show her running. Glad to know you finally got her going. Also glad to see the homemade diaphragms worked for you as well. My saw doesn't have the spikes either, but she's heavy enough, that her own weight will carry her down through the log. I just hold her in place and let her cut herself through the log. Take care. Lewis Brander.

I've waited a good while to see one of these beauties on action. I'm glad theres more than just a few of us with the fire for restoring these old machines to operational status. they truly are great in their own unique way. Love to see them running. probably with a bucking spike, they'd be pretty good cutting saws.

McC, thanks for posting that video, I appreciate the sound of it in action.

Nope, did the stuff still the same!

Hello to all:

As far as playing the video. I have Norton Internet Security 2005 on my computer and don't have to disable it to play any vidieos. To play McC's videos I had to install Quicktime Alternative 1.44 and have had no problems with playing any videos from this site or others. Do a search and you should be able to come up with it. Someone here, also posted a link in a thread, so a search here might also find the link. Take care. Lewis Brander.

I had just installed quick time to play the file and it worked fine for me, you may have to check into your security settings to fix it.

pc wars?

i think we should start a mac V.S pc war here on AS :)
Then we can see if the guys that mod their saws mod their computers also. After adding 2 gig of ram in yesterday, which gave me an additional 4.6 gig of vertual. I thought to myself, all that money for silicon and it doesn't even fit in a bra. What was I thinking? I could have had a lap dance. :) :) :) er.. I mean a laptop.

Scott,

Do you have the manual for the saw ? If not let me know. I have one here that I can copy. It does not provide parts breakdowns but it is better than nothing.

Sorry for all the problems for you PC guys. My mac can only export videos in quicktime. I've sent this link to friends before, they have used it, and it worked. Mange, I tried to post it on your website, but .mov is not valid there.

I know

You can host it somewhere and post the link, that would work.
I will sooner or later figur this out.
