I've got 50 various Poulan S25DA, 25DA, S25 CVA, and craftsman equivalents. I can part with them for $12 apiece plus actuall shipping. Of course pics are available to those interested. If anybody is:laugh:

Actually the Super 25DA was THE climbing saw of it's day. I climbed with one my first 6-8 years or so. Great power for it's size and very durable. Here's a shot from my first big crane job (35 ton crane used for rigging this removal).

I absolutely agree. I love 'em for a limbing saw. They don't get the respect they deserve. Problem is I have a LOT of them and they're not worth a heck of a lot.

They're like diamonds. I have a plentiful stockpile that if I sell one a week I can get $50 a pop on ebay. But if I were to release them all on ebay at once the price would plumet, I would flood the market so to speak. Right now I have enough to sell one per week for over a year and I get more in all the time.:dizzy:

I try to sell one to just about every person that walks in here too but I've had 2 takers in the last few months... Here they're $35 each running and out the door.

Hey-
I'll probably take one (maybe 2) off your hands as backups... Where exactly are you located? Send me a PM... If you are up north here, I could be around this week, if you're further south I don't think I'll be headed down there 'till late next week or the week after...

Thanks

The S25's were great saws. I have 5 parts saws, and one newer runner that I shlould sell as I don't use it.

retooc, I'm tempted to pick up that 520SP of yours...a great saw in its day! Simple, light and fast, it was the first of the light 3 cube saws..along with its cousins the Partner 500/5000. nearly 20 years ago, mine fell out of a pickup load of brush as I drove down the road.......But I have 3 cubers coming out my ears-- Shinny 488, Solo 651SP, Husky 346, all Greffardized, and another 346 and 5100 Dolmar in the UPS truck right now from ehp!!! Plus I picked up a Dolmar 111 for ~$50 that needs some work, a nice, light saw it is.

I love those 520's. Common another saw wouldn't kill you:D Why do things always fall out of not into the back of pickups?

funds are a problem right now for me.

What is your game? You constantly mention this as if you are fishing for a freebie. I seriously doubt you are the only person that has ever been short on funds, but you certainly bring it up it more than anyone else.

Personally, I would suggest if you can't afford to stay out of the conversation or keep it private.

Hey Lawn Dude, I want to thank you for the signature quote. It's the funniest thing I've seen here all week!

nice helmet

Let me start by calling myself stupid for misspelling Poulan in the thread title :bang:

Wow I didn't think there'd be so much interest in these.

I pulled out 16 saws to get rid of here. Out of the 50 or so quite a few are 1/2 gone or siezed up and really destined for scrap metal after I strip them and of course I had to keep a few:D

Add $3 if you want a decent bar and chain.

I laid the saws out in a grid pattern and numbered each one with a sharpie. The one on the top left is #1 and the one on the bottom right is #16 the numbering goes in order like you'd read a book. 1-12 are all complete, maybe missing a pull rope or something here and there. 13 is a newer micro I thought I'd throw in thats missing the handle, 14 is an XX without a pull rope, 15 is missing the flywheel and a few other things, and I think 16 is only missing the oiler button it is a CVA though.

To reserve yourself a poulan or two of your very own just post on the thread what numbers you would like and PM me and we can sort things out from there.

At $12 each I can't take the time to test compression and spark on all of these.

I ship FedEx ground and one of these weighs in at 14lbs packaged up in a box. Boxes cost me $2.00 each so you can use the FedEx rate calculator to figure out shipping then add $2

Sorry Mike, I Couldn't find any with the 'Solid State' Decal.

The orange ones are all new enough to have electronic ignition, as well as the newer green ones. They were only orange for the last couple years of production.

Oh, tophopper, in '87 I hadn't yet heard about wearing a helmet while climbing. That wasn't the point though. Today I wear a Petzel helmet.

All I can say is WOW retoocs555, and where were you when I was looking for a coil module for my 2000 this summer. I bet I know who to call next time and its not ghostbusters. Thanks for info too.

Actually I think the yellow ones pictured are older than the green ones and all had points. The newer yellow like in your picture with the black handle and black wrap were the newer and last of the series and they had electronic ignition. Last ones also had full covers over the mufflers, I still have some burn scars from those exposed mufflers on my wrists and probably a few burn holes in some old bluejeans from those mufflers. :)
P.S. they were great saws and make excellent backups to whatever anyone might be running now.

I agree. I was going to remove a flywheel from one and take a picture of the points to prove it.
