I've filled our companies Komatsu Dozer hundreds of times. We had a finish grade-job to do and I decided I'd get her ready and fueled like the hundreds of times before...except this time I had a "moment" and poured 4 gallons of diesel in the hyrdraulic resevoir. If you are able to get to the fuel quickly sometimes you are able to suck it right off the top of the hydraulic fluid.... Needless to say, I grabbed our industrial siphon tube and tried getting it all out but to no avail. So I get the field service truck over to the dozer and fire up the IR air compressor on it, attatch the air line to our 50 gallon drum of hydraulic fluid and BOOM there goes the air hose....the chuck blew off the end of it and I got slapped hard by 150psi of the wild whipping snarling rowdy uncontrollable airhose dangerouisly flapping about my face until I was able to sprint to the air shutoff valve. Somedays you just feel like an idiot. Today was my day :( To top that off, I ended up working a 14 hour day and by the time I got back to the office everyone was gone the doors were locked and I could see my keys were sitting on the desk inside the office. Man oh man......I think it's time to A: start drinking or B: start taking vitamin b-12 for my brain.

:bang:

Thanks for letting me Rant AS. I know you all have had similiar days.....just hope they aren't often.

Jesus, you made me feel good about more than a few days that ive had so let me ease your pain. One time I walked up on a guy who had a 4wheeler for dragging brush. He had just dropped the oil for a change. We go to talking as he walked over to a 500 gallon waste oil bin. As we were yapping he poured the oil into the bin and I heard a "plink" sound. He quickly closed his eyes , grimaced, and looked away. Turns out he dropped the drain plug into the drain pan when he took it off and had completely forgot about it before I walked up and started talking to him. He was down for 2 weeks waiting for a plug that would fit.
