Looks like it works to me. Though that trailer is probably overloaded with just the I beam.
 
My father had an A frame boom on the rear three point hitch arms of his Allis Chalmers tractor, that extended about 15' tall. It had a pulley at the tip that redirected a cable that ran to a 20 ton manual winch bolted on front of the tractor. We once hoisted a 20" dia. pine log onto the bed of my 14' dump truck with it. when we wanted to bring the tractor with, we ran the bed up (next to a bank), hooked the winch hook on the end of the cable up to the top of the dump bed, and winched the tractor up into the bed to load it.
