Dolmar dumping?

If you haven't noticed - the dumping of 5100's is now ended. It further supports my theory that one distributor was overstocked and needed to blow some out. Now he's done and the prices are back up to normal. Hope those of you who wanted one jumped on it when it was available...

Correct...

Yah, you seem to be right. Nothing on Ebay and or some other outlets I saw them on. Back up to $375-410 per saw. Maybe Dolmar came down harder on them all as well? I do not know how they distribute their saws though.

6 months from now everyone will be talking about"Remember at the first of the year when you could have bought one for X ammount"

Thats assuming that they don't try to blow em out again at some point.

I kind of regret not buying one cheap just to see what the good reports were all about.

Thanks to this site and this thread I picked one up for 315 plus shipping. Also thanks to this thread I developed the notion that I needed a 3rd saw in the first place..

I don't have much of a history with chainsaws, just a new landowner with some trees to cut.

I'm glad to have a mid range saw, and the dolmar 5100 has good speed and and torque, and is smooth, as people say. But it does seem to have a little less "feel" than the Huskys. It also puts out noticably more noise, 3 decibils according to the specs but that is enough to notice. (Ok, so you can tell I'm not about to mod any saws in the near future).
