WHAT? are you saying you want to smash my makita with a ash tree??? Also, you suck! I was going to come cut at Redfield but we'll be at a church retreat all weekend.

No no no want help to have fun cutting them down and turning them into firewood!

I changed over my 6800i to large mount bar studs. There is a thread round here somewhere about it. I think we deserve a special brownie button for any 6800i owners, being so rare and far between. Special like. :hmm3grin2orange: Mine is a full wrap handle too, even more rare. yeah, I like being called rare better than "odd".
What did you have to do to get to get that up and running? Seems kinda hard to find parts for if they are needed.

nothing to get it running... it cam running but had a couple broke av mounts and was pretty dirty. THe muffler was also trashed on the back side. I had to put 2hrs of welding and grinding into it... The back of these mufflers is pretty thin and corrosion doesn't help over time. I took the muffler apart and took the screen out, cut the interior baffel apart so that there is only 1 little strip holding the 2 crush sleeves together. then I ground the crush sleeves down to accomodate the expansion/support plate that i welded into the back of the muffler. All in all a good 2hrs spent! it's all back together but haven't fired it up yet since the muffler fix. The compression is a little lower than I like it to be so I might order a meteor or just some caber rings. Squish wasn't too pretty either at 0.031 so I'm going to bump that down to the 0.020-0.022 area. That should help compression out quite a bit! i'll take pics of it all and post later...

Oh... I'm also thinking I need a 2nd port in the muffler so I might make it a dual port muffler off the top recoil side corner since there is plenty of room there. Hell I might just put a double in on that side and make a smooth delete on the clutch side. these saws do tend to torch the brake handle on that side. thoughts?
