i have an echo cs-4400 type 1E chainsaw. lost the manual when we moved last year. i really didn't use it much when we lived in an apartment with a small yard, but now i am using it quite a bit at the house cutting up firewood. i read that you are supposed to change the sprocket after every four chains or so. well i bought a new sprocket, but i can't figure out for the life of me how to replace the one on the chainsaw. went to echo website, pulled up the owners manual, and all it say to do is chancge the sprocket after it has worn .05 inch. not a word as to how to do it. any help would be greta, thanks. the serial number is 101- and higher, seems to make a difference for parts.

You need to unscrew the clutch, L.H. threads to get to your sprocket. They sell a special tool with 3 fingers to unscrew it.You can do it w/o the tool, you have to be careful to not break clutch parts tho.

thanks, couldn't figure out how to get the clutch off...wish they would have gone into more detail in the manual
