Tanaka is owned by Hitachi but I believe the saws are now made in China.

All I know is they made a very nice chainsaw, wish I still had it actually.

Was at the local NAPA up town the other day and they are selling Effco? Chainsaws and trimmers.

I don't believe I have ever seen an Efco tool in person but I have been curious. Supposedly an Italian company but who knows where it's actually made. From Wikipedia

Efco? 2 classes lower than ECHO. Emak is the group from which Efco is made, just like Yamabico for Echo.

Interesting. They were behind the counter so I didn't get to see them close up. They had trimmers and chainsaws. First time I ever laid eyes on them. They are dark red and silver.
