I spoke with ez lawn yesteday. Great guy, mark was his name. Pump is an imovilli pompe (pompe is pump in italian.) It is a diapram style pump, with an air valve similar to one ona tire to act as a buffer to overpressurizing. it has a 5.5 honda engine to power the pump. Mark told me that as long as the pump oil isnt cloudy then the diaphrams should be in good condition. If not, a rebuild kit is 150 bucks. I intend only to use the sprayer for ornamentals and fertilizing/ soil injections, not large trees. He said I could get roughly 40 feet of height out of it which is fine by me. So my questions are as follows, is 300 gallons enough? I think I know the answer to that, water is readily available near me, and I can always add a sister tank on top. Is a diaprahm pump a quality pump, I am familiar and operate bean sprayers, so I know nothing about them. thirdly, what is the value of this machine, is is an 03, but it was bought by a town, and I know the guy, he used it to fertilize 3 clump river birches in front of the town hall every year, and that is it. It has been sittign for some time, but it looks good and runs great. It has a hannay reel with electric rewind, 300 feet of 1/2 inch hose. I am thinking its worth 2 grand or so., but I woudl ike to hear others feedback.
