since you forgot the last one i will add it for you
Scott, you sure know how to muck up a thread with that ugly little thing, I'll give ya that.
since you forgot the last one i will add it for you
Roger, that things a real runner too!
As nice as it looks I do not imagine you run it to often.
Not since last weekend.
I just run em for fun, no need to take em out, beat em up and work them to death. They dont make em anymore.
Did you have it at the Poulan GTG?
Yes, I actually picked that one up from another member at that GTG. I had and ran the 5500 there.
Never ran it till I got it home though. You can see it pictured running in Arrowheads mini GTG thread he started last week. We ran the 5000+ and the 590.
I did not realize it was the same saw. You always amaze me with your collection.
The Jonsered 490 and the Partner 5000+ is the the same saw (49cc/44mm), and the P5500 and the PP325 is the same (53cc/46mm). The Jonsered 590 is 51cc/45mm, and inbetween those sizes.
Niko, got a couple more Swedish beautys and the family is growing.
Right to left, 500, 5000, 5000+ Poulan Pro 325, 5500H, 540, Jonsered 490 and 590.
I guess I'm missing the Jobu 949 and Partner 543. I actually had a chance at a 543 but couldnt swing the dough at that time and it seems shipping internationally has went up some.
Then I guess I need a example of each Pure Partner and the Pioneer/Partner model.

Those are pure Partners as well, really - just with different decales on them - but collecting means that you "need" them I guess?
Don't forget about the Formula 500.
Lovely collection Mark, they are a beaut saw to collect. I have to agree about Partner using different parts at different times, don't know how Niko keeps up. Most of the Partners here have much more black on them - black recoils and black clutch covers, but I am partial to the all yellow ones.
Al.
That's a great collection, Mark !
You are still missing some, jobu 949 and Partner 543 as black 500 and 500 Formula said, then s´there was a McCulloch 543 (same saw with McCulloch decals), and the very first 5000 saws with open ports (but small burning chamber and different timing than the Husqvarna 50, they run good !) and with a full metal style hand guard. Ya know, this typical old style swedisch hand guard that looked like some sort of a immersion heater :msp_biggrin:
Is your 5500 H electrical or exhaust heated ? I know a guy looking forward to get a piston for his exhaust heated 5500 H, I got myself a scored 540 H with electrically heated handles that will get either a 590 or 5500 topend...:wink2:
Also funny is that I've got a 5000 plus with slightly domed piston (unfortunateley piston is a bit scored), the other ones had flat top pistons...
Max
Cool thread! :msp_biggrin:
Don't forget about the Formula 500.
I've only seen 1 of those so far and I have seemed to misplace it. Oh where did it go. :msp_wink:
Didnt even know what I had back in the early days and just knew it was a open port 45mm with smaller CC then 500 cyls.
I had started to part it out till we all found out about the Formula 500. :msp_tongue:
Oh yes, didn't see that :msp_smile:Max, if you look at the picture again, I believe my 5000 is the early model you speak of. It has the metal brake handle and I believe it could be a open port but need to confirm that. It has the wrong recoil on it as its a 4 bolt with the Pioneer/Partner decal on it. I do have a proper 3 bolt recoil with the right decal for it though.
At least the best ones ! The Mc/Partner 543 is just an ugly 540 and the 500 formula a better 500...I know I don't have all of them in this series, but I think I got a good start on them. LOL.
Might need some more help from across the pond to get a few of the rest of them. Hint, hint.
