And those programs both are terrible. Medicare drives up the price of healthcare for everyone other than those taking medicare. Social Security is a huge rip off for the people that pay in. If I had the money I paid into Social security along with my employers match, over my career under my own management it would be worth 8 figures. Instead I get a pitance when I am 62. Then when I drop dead my kids get nothing.

Tarriffs have their place, and I am against the clone and counterfeit stuff, but at the end of the day US consumers pay the tariff. It's basically a tax on the poor and middle class trying to steer them to buying more expensive products (which admittedly, in the long run would have some benefits, but it would inflate the costs for many folks)

As I understand it ... President Donald Trump will drive tarriffs up to reduce income tax. Which he said he was going to do. Making foreign products more expensive while (If income tax is deeply reduced) giving more cash for the average Joe to spend. Yes on more expensive foreign products ... but USA products will start ramping up. Very much like a stimulus package that takes from foreign cloners like China and moves wealth to the USA

Those "bleed-out" systems have already been bled dry. Empty; spent; unless immigrants can throw some taxes to feed those vacuums of stolen moneys.
