I think that I have tried them all. The one from Bailey's that shuts off automatically. The one that has a little pump on it. The one with a flexible hose on it. The one that seems to work the best for me is the NoSpill can. You hold the spout near the filler hole on the chainsaw with one hand and push the button with the other hand. Never a drop spilled.

They look quite cool, simmilar things are starting to show up for regular petrol cans over here. Personally i love my Husky one it wa expensive but it is the best, a friend got the Oregon on and when its full its just too heavy and clumbersome to fill the saw up.

The no spill cans are the only thing we can get here in PA. They SUCK. I had to buy one after shopping all the flea markets in the area and all the old hardwares stores. I just wanted one of the old metal fuel cans. So I had to buy a no spill plastic 5 gal. jug. Then I ripped out the spout spring and all. I really was spilling more gas the way it came off the shelf. I was told I had to drive to Ohio to buy a metal fuel can.

Thank you government for looking out for me!!!!

Stupid stuff like that just blows my head.

Scott, Ohio is quite a long drive. I just bought two 2 1/2 gal metal Eagle cans at Napa for 13 bucks each. I got tired of my "ventless" poly cans swelling up in my shop and rolling around in my car getting them to/from the gas station. Maybe i can mail you a new one?...Bob

I do have a 2.5 gal old Eagle. I use that one for the chainsaw mix. I needed one for the mower thats what the 5 gal was for. I put a screw in for a vent and ripped the guts out of the "NO SPILL SPOUT". That ones for the government!!!!!! The weed-eater I just use an oil gal jug (well labled!!).

Its just the fact that the government sit in the office and think "this will help" and all it did was make it worse. We really spilled more gas out of the "ventless" plastic jug (before I "fixed" it).

You can get them down here in Virginia. Are you near Harrisburg or Pittsburg?

I found these last fall at a local shop and really like it (1 gallon size). Far better than the ventless rigid spout ones that are everywhere.

I'm near Harrisburg, PA.

I'm bugging my grandfather for some of his old one. He just laughs at me. I'm set for now with gas cans but it just the point that the government steps in. Don't get me wrong. I work for the government in around-about-way. They aren't all bad. It seems like they try to redesign the wheel sometimes.

Now I did find some Eagles with the spring lid. I want the ones with the rubber flex spout. The ventless jars are crap!!!! Now if I run into the old fuel cans, you better believe I'll be pick them up.

here at our shop, we use a weed sprayer with the end of the nozel cut off. This works very well. Very clean and no spills.

I've got the same problem. I hate those cans. I've went to loosening the cap a little to let the pressure off while in storage. I usually remember to tighten them when in use.

I cheated and drilled a small hole in the lid, that took care of the swelling but it was still hard to fill the mower without it gurgling....Bob

The new style gas cans around here SUCK!! I have been buying all the old style plastic ones I can find, usually at garage sales.
