I just use an old handle off a five gallon bucket wrapped in electrical tape to carry my cords :poke: Unfortunately it takes 3 trips in my truck.

I really don't understand the question... firewood handle? I know if you are going to bundle them up you can just staple a piece of strap to one of the pieces of wood to make a handle. A cord is a pile of wood that is 128 cubic feet (generally arranged 4ft x 4ft x 8ft). So you wouldn't be carrying it.

Knew a guy who could carry a ginger cord with a stripped down plug wire from a 63 olds, worked great, hope that helped:rock:

What's the best firewood handle to use for carrying a cord or more of wood...
Thanks!

I'm just trying to figure out what a "firewood handle" is. Perhaps he meant "handler", like a cart or wagon?

For moving splits manually I use my arms. Any fooling around wrappign cords around bundles etc. just wastes time. I assume that is what he meant.

Dunno. Going from the woodshed to the garage I use a wheel barrow. But I don't move more than around 1/3 cord
total. More than 1 trip. From the garage to the stove I use a milk crate.

Pedro has to make a few trips with full buckets to handle a cord.

The Rootrake Grapple sucks for splits..... On the other hand, I can carry 2- 30" Oak logs 12' L with it. I don't know how much that makes in splits.

Perhaps, but it still takes about a one ton P-U with side boards to handle a full cord. Puzzling for sure, profile says engineering background so he's got some smarts.

Lotsa luck with that, if the law sends you to the scales. Air-dried cord of mixed hardwood is a tad under TWO tons.

Communication skills are separate from engineering background.

My 1-ton is plated for 16,000 lbs.
