First off it was not rotton pine. It was very solid doug fir. The two are night and day. Dead doug fir limbs are hard - very hard.
As far as hardwood, a green black oak, white oak or madrone would have been just as easy if not easier to saw through. Dry would have been a different story. The Realtest is was what I did and do everyday. I cut them, limb them and buck them.
That is the way the saws get run. There is not use for me to make a "cookie cutter" out of it - it's pointless. Serves no purpose for my needs.
As far as mix, it was Husky around 47:1.

Just for the record, Dean, of whom I am great friends with milled my cylinder and piston - he did not build this saw - I build my own after learning most of what I know from him.

Pour it to um' Slinger. That is one hellauva finely tuned saw. Keep up the good work!

Just got done with my second work day on the saw. Went back yesterday - I am very impressed.
The torque on the stump and bucking some of the bigger cuts just boggled my mind. Working on a southern face and the D. fir is hard - but, like I said she's runnin' good.
Let a friend of mine fall a tree with it yesterday and limb it up, about a 36" doug fir.
After putting in the top of his undercut he shut the saw off and said, "this thing out cuts my 660", which he was running at the time - (modded from Idaho) - granted it has about 7 month's on it.
Kinda like a Little League after your kids hits his first ball over the fence, I was proud.
Not boasting - just giving somewhat of an update.
Thanks for all the comments, Tree Sling'r.

I am gonna have to find some people in my area that are into saw modding, almost made me wish i went with the 046 instead, LOL. Watching that video just tells me I have ALOT to learn, and that I am jealous. LOL

Well tree slinger I have officially began my look for a MS460. I was very impressed with the saw, you did one awsome job on the saw. keep up the good work.
