That's a good price for a very solid tool. I think for a while they jumped up to near $65 as their popularity increased.

There are better performing tools out there as discussed in other threads but you need to at least double to triple your $ invested to get one of them.

That's y I bought it I've been looking for a while now and I seem to remember seeing it on Amazon at one point for 39 dollars or something then after that 57 seemed like the lowest price so I saw this and bought it. I split all my wood by July minus the little bit I stack in the garage to start the year with so it won't get a ton of use this year. But it seems to be legendary and should out perform my axe head welded to a steel pipe...

Yea Idk I work hvac, construction, and I know my estwing hammer won't let me down and my midwest snips are the best klein tools are best electrical tools. Being cheap will kill ya and spending the most money on tools isn't worth it there are few names that stand alone...

I use the maul the axe and the wedge but I'm hoping for improvement on the axe end. I like swinging an axe and I feel that with the right wood and axe I can split pretty quickly. Right now I split about 3/4 of a face cord in a session which is about an hour. I keep 7 ready a year. If I could do a full face cord in about an hour I'd be happy.
