so far i'm really liking the flyer thing. it's the first time i tried it (before this i was using meet-n-greet sales only). after 24 hours, the flyers are producing a whopping 2,025% ROI (return on investment). and those are just the contracts signed. there's a few estimates that went out and didn't get the approval yet. if those go through, we're talking 3,350% ROI.

i think i hit the nail on the head with a really creatively designed flyer. it's the only way to explain the reaction thus far. i was told the flyer is very "catchy".

i'll keep you posted on how this all pans out. wish me luck !!!:)

Yes you can make quite the nice return on a 2.5 cent card (or flyer)
How about posting a pic of your flyer.

Some people hold onto the flyer for months (or longer) before they will call.
I have a regular client that had my card for 3 years before ever calling.

Treeminator, how did you distribute the flyers? Where did you put them? Way back, I used to put them in people's mailboxes, but that's a mite illegal.

we dropped them on thir doorstep. it's more of a pain to walk all the way up and back. but if you place them in the mailbox you run the risk of the mailman throwing them away or lumping them in with all the other junk mail.

update: 48 hours later and i'm up to 5,000+ ROI. signed contracts. i love this flyer !!!!

Other junk mail, exactly what your flyers are. Dropped them on the doorstep, what, no wind?

how do you figure 5,000%? if you put out 1 flyer and got 5000 calls, thats 5000%. Mind sharing your mathmatical calculations? Im not trying to be snooty here, just curious.

As for the gold flyer, Id like to see it too. drop it to me off site. I hereby acknowledge I WILL NOT post it to arboristsite.

okie, he said ROI.. He's prolly just figuring his $ cost of the fliers. so, if he spent $200 and got $10,200 worth of work, that's 5000%. Which is phenomenal.....

And run the risk of committing a federal crime. It is against the law to tamper with someone's mail or mailbox.

And not showing your flyer, lol. This place is suppose to be for people with common interest that share ideas and have fun. Sounds like third grade, nah nah boo boo I've got a better ______ than you! (SNIP)

Wait, Clearance might take offense to that and we don't want to get him ralled up, so you aren't even worthy of being called a hack. :sucks:

i spent $60 in materials and hired labor to print and pass out the flyers. 48 hours later i have over $3,000 in contracts signed. this is in a well established neighborhoods where people generally have their own favorite lawn and tree guys. so something on that flyer must be making them abandon their loyalty and hire me. :biggrinbounce2:

Or if he spent a penny, he got $.50 worth of work, right?

All you do is short change you workers, are a slavedriver that picks up minimun wage fast food workers and expects people to answer calls of random b.s at 3am, then hands them a pos that most wouldn't even call saw. You call yourself an arborist, you should call youself a hack.

i come from a different industry based on different business models and employee motivation. seriously speaking... you guys are way overpaying your employees. i'd only pay what you pay your climbers if they had their own truck and were completely self-sufficient supervisors to the point where i would never have to leave my air conditioned office.
i usually contract over 50 residential homes per month using an outside sales force the same way you see people seling magazines do. it's all in the marketing.

Its not who has you once, its who calls you back after the first time.

why wouldn't they call a 2nd time??? you make it sound like we top their trees, piss in their bushes, and leave the yard a mess.
my guys give the customers quality service with a happymeal smile. i hire them from jobs where they are used to customer service and friendly contact. so of course the customer will be calling again...and again.
