At least that guy said he'd pay something. There's one on the craigslist, Erie PA that says he has some very large trees close to the house and you'll need to have prior knowledge of tree work to do them. But you can have all the wood you want for free if you remove them.

I have a driveway that I want to widen, so I am looking for someone with a bulldozer or backhoe to come in and remove the trees (and stumps) lining it about 10' on each side. The driveway is 1/2 mile long, and thickly wooded with 90% hardwoods anywhere from 4" up to 2' or so. There is a LOT of good timber here. Free for the taking, but I need the stumps gone too.
 
i love it. makes me laugh hysterically. most people think gravity does all the work. in my area the tree work is done by chimney guys with ladders and homeowners. ive seen some sketchy things in trees, but putting an ad on craigslist for firewood tops it.
