It works like this
I have a ms460 24", I use it for the larger stuff.
The ms260 is a fantastic limbing saw, and okay for smaller stuff.
Yep, I sell a little wood, not a lot compared to a buddy of mine who cuts over 300 cords a year. local price is about $135 cd. Oh, that reminds me, I have to deliver a load this weekend!
If I were to buy this saw, I would be tempted to try a 24" bar on it. I think it will pull it. Others up here don't think so. Eventually, I would be tempted to go for the big bore kit on the thing. I think that makes it close to a 460, but lighter. In all fairness I really don't need it.
I know how rebuilding machines that have been all but destroyed can go. My current project is a 74 Dodge converted to a dumptruck. I have a fortune in parts just getting it to start, and stop. Still need to weld in something for a floor (rusted clear out). End result will be a functional truck worth about 1/2 what I will have in it.
I don't give up easy.
It would seem that Brad doesn't either. And the end result is incredible.
I will keep thinking about this one.... it is bugging me a bit.
