I use about any type of leather glove i can get. i will wear them out to quick to buy an expesive pair. Usually a pair of gloves will last me a couple of days of cutting and loading. Even the more expensive ones don't last any longer. When i empty the ash pan in the wood stove i wear welding gloves, They seem to work really good. They would be too thick too cut wood in though. i actually don't like wearing any type of gloves doing anything.

I used the cotton stretch gloves with the latex palm and finger coating but the coating came off after some time when handling a lot of wood.

Now TSC has a winter version with much heavier cotton glove and a noticably thicker coating. Seems it will last much longer and also be warmer in winter.

I'd give those a try. I bought 2 pair.
