steve youll have the last laugh, when hes crying out for a climber /extra bod to get a job finished ontime ,he will ring or want to ring you ,you can then have the satisfaction of telling him to go forth ,were you his no 1 climber ?
I think he is going to have big probs as Steve, Mark and myself are the only ones who give a ????! The rest dont. As Mark and me are s/e and therefore part-time, dont look like much will get done when we're not in. Any body who wants a good climber, Steve is your man, I dont rate many climbers, but I'd reccommend Steve any day!

thanks big A, just too bad rollas the only person local to us who reads this board huh

Thats true, but how many of us know other people, who know other people, word will get around I'm sure. I'm suprised at the way you got dumped, but employees do have rights, I think its worth going to citizens advice at least, see where you stand. Have you got any kit of your own at all?

well basically all my gadgetry was my own, just the harness, flipline, and rope were marcus's. he will probably want the boots and trousers back but he owes me for 4 days last week anyway so i'll write that off.
im not interested in going to the cab, just dont want the fuss ya know.
so anyway, i have a hedgecutter, and a chainsaw carving saw, fat lot of good that will do me. think im going to buy a ms200 and a ms460 this week.
that 357 is half mine, so will have to speak to marcus about that.
cant wait to hear how much im slagged off tomorrow morning.
give me a call during the day if ya get round to it

Well, er, hummm, wouldnt do any harm works work after all. just bear in mind what youve been told.
Any hoo, I think there wil plenty of gossip 2moro, I can think of 1 person who'll have plenty to say. I'll let you know what goes down. off to play space invaders again now, (stress relief) :blob6:

Wassup ma ni****? Had cool day at Colchester lush work up there innit! 14 hour day yesterday to get job done in Harpenden, no probs. Russ put in good effort up tree with Mark, otherwise we wouldnt have got done, 2 day job done in one, double bubble on that beaut. havent seen others in the yard as we start b4 them and leave after so dont know any goss, dont expect I'll hear any now. Might be a taboo subject for a while any way. Hows the work search going, hear theres one or two trees down up North and more on the way tonight. Dont think we'll get any gales here  so no extra cash to be earned.

stephen
tribunals could be a draw on your time it can be hard to proof a lot of your word against his, plus the lads who are still working for him have got a lot at stake to stand up for your side of the story ends up been six of one and half a dozen of the other

anyway i started out with bugger all i bought a flat bed merc van for £1500
notes from the bank (sign write it free ad )a saw and some climbing gear i know a bloke who started when i did spent about 15k on a vehicle gear n ads now that takes alot of making up approx 30k+ turn over and that doesn`t leave you a wage he isn`t trading anymore he lasted 18 mths max
don`t be tempted to spend what you ain`t got :dizzy:
advertising can catch you out yell pages etc stick an ad in the local free rag you`ll get something out of it, local church parish mags are also cheap, register with your local council if they have a register of surgeons working in your area
then when you`ve got money start attacking your wish list
i wouldn`t go vat yet you will find it hard to compete with none reg`d co`s
mrs smith at no 54 just wants it done cheap so they can still go on holiday this year, take on every job you can and by a chipper as soon as poss as you are then more productive ( no stacking brash, no burning, more jobs per day )

climb high ! drink more !

the colchester jobs ok, just the poor pricing and the volume and wood to get away.
theres some cheeky ladies though thats for sure, you oughta see the butt on that one bird who wanted the wood chips. shame about the nose though.

popped round to see marcus tonight and straightened things out.

yeah but every penny you spend on hire is lost to you and could have gone toward buying your own

The only decent butt I saw was attached to a tree! Most the women there are pig-ugly! Glad you sorted things out between you, you never know if you need to help each other out. Hear you got yourself a yard already. Wont be long b4 S.B. Trees is up and running a fleet! Done a couple of beeches at Trimley with Marcus & Ben today, well nice job.

marcus mentioned them last night, over a railway right? hairy?
werent too big a trees then if you did 2?

its a nice yard too, more secure than my old yard, better condition barn, and its all hardcored and firm under the barn too.....also the guys selling me a david brown, so i'll be able to have the behemoth hooked up and ready to go at all times.
getting that yard immediately made me feel more positive about the future

well folk's Steve Bullman came out and did some work for me today i was his first client in his new career as a contract climber ,we worked on a medium -large broad spreading horse chestnut as i requested steve carried out a 10 % crown reduction with a crown thin ,imo Steve did a great job the tree was sympatheticlly prunned and the end result not only looked great but this work should keep the tree standing for a good few more years [the tree is growing in a slightly confined area ie in a small garden and overhanging a house and a road plus overhead cables] steve helped on the end clear-up ,all in all i found him a nice bloke and conciencious Arborist ,i'll employe him again anyday and he said he would work for me again :) ,nice one Steve

i could fit in the trousers ok but with all that chilli you just had to keep your distance ..anyway you can talk , sounds like you had more than a plate full of that fancy chinese nosh :)
