I have only read about 50/50 on PP295's have oiler problems, cheap fix though.
Ask Bump he bought that 295 for about $20 or so used, he may be able to tell you more about them.

I think I will let it slide as I really want to get a 2171! I know I will kick myself, just like I did when I let a 2147 get away from me! But money does'nt grow on tree's, at least for me if it did I would cut allot more down!:laugh:
 
Yeah, I snagged athe pp 295 for 50 clams, with a cuppla spare chians, case, tool, and gloves... Near new. Hate to say it, but it's too nice to be my root saw. Don't really have a root saw, 'cept mebbe my Simonized Husky Micro XXV...
 
Scottr is about as good as a guy as they have here. He helped me out a lot with my Poulan 3450 project saw.

I just tried to rep him again, but got a message saying I needed to spread the reps around some. So tomorrow, I'll just do some of that. :)

first saw I ever owned is a poulan craftsman,,,

Your one of the guy's don't slam the little poulans! I love mine a great little saw! I will give you a rep if I can!

And,,, I love that little saw,,, it still runs great,,, gave it a new clutch/ needlebearing/and 18" bar with full comp semi roundchisel chain last year and gonna do her a muffl mod this spring and she's a cutin lil Jessie already ,,,,,,got lots of fence row, two fresh sharped chains just a awaiten for her so look out!!!!!!!
