Hello, Newbie here...
I came upon this site while trying to find information on this saw that was given to me by my dad. (He just bought a new Stihl..)
From what I have gathered so far, it is a McCulloch made for Montgomery Wards. It was purchased back in the late '70s to early '80s.
Wards model is a TMY24071A, 2.1ci with a 16" bar.
Am I close when I figure this is the same as the Power Mac 310 or 320?
Can anyone confirm which it is?

Thanks,
Bryan

Yep. a Mac PM310 series. the 310, 320, and so on, are the same exact saw, just with different model numbers to make the consumer think its a different unit.

PM310/Wards

It is sometimes difficult, but i think it has alot to do with how long it usually sits unused. A few years ago, my dad needed to do some cutting and it would not run at all. I cleaned up the carb and replaced all the fuel lines and pickup. That fixed it. Now I have it and need to replace the bar and get a couple of new chains. I plan to use it for limbing downed trees. I just picked up a new Echo CS-670 for felling and bucking.

I am a hobbiest that collects ash, oak, cypress, cedar and pine for use in my woodshop. A neighbor has a Woodmiser that sets up at my place when needed. I even have a Solar Wood Kiln to dry the lumber in. Works Great!
