I will be cutting about 20 cords of wood a year of all sizes and lengths... also doing a ton of felling and limming and brush removal.... I was atleast a 60 cc saw ..... what are your suggestions...specs and prices.... I really like the 044, 066,088 but that would probally be way too heavy for what I want....

The 361 and the 440/044 are both great saws, you can not make the wrong decision when looking at those two saws. I'm probably in the minority here but for bucking firewood I like a little heavier saw because it pushes its self thru the wood. You are not really holding extra weight, the wood is holding the weight most of the time. If you are limbing a lot of treetops you may want the lighter 361. Just my 2 cents that may or may not be worth a dime to ya.

yes....

the majority of the cutting will be felling and limbing.... then comes the bucking.... its not just delivered firewood

361. Great "all arounder" If you are just going to have one, 60ccs is where you want to be.

Well, you are on this site so you will fairly gradually realize you need maybe six or seven saws with different bars, cc's, etc., and a passle of chain-types. Won't go in to all the other stuff. But for what you are proposing to do, I would go with the 361. If you are younger, stronger, and heftier than I am or don't care what your forearms and wrists feel like after six hours of cutting, one of the larger saws you mentioned are great. Of course, back to being on this site, you need both. Which I'd have if I had the money.

You didn't mention the size of tree you'll be felling/sectioning, and that could lead you to wanting a longer bar/larger saw...than the 361; however, I find the 361 size, with a 20" bar [I don't have one, I have an 036 Pro, about the same size] good for all the chores you mentioned including limbing. A smaller saw would be a bit handier for limbing the smaller stuff, but I am happy carrying/hauling one saw to a job site since I am usually unable to drive right up to where I'm cutting and have to walk in. One saw is enough for me to carry.

660 def to heavy for that work. 440 (044) I use it for everything. After hefting around the 066 the 44 feels light as a feather. Unless your going to be running 24-28" bar you may be more satisfied with the 361.

I have heard the deal about a heavy saw being better for fire wood cutting. I think it's someones rationalization. I would take the lightest most powerful combination I could find. A sharp chain will pull your saw thru the wood!!!

What He said!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw

Nope none of whatever is in the avitar..... lol any way.. I am looking at a used but running and idling 044... no bar no chain with it for 150.oo Is it worth that? ... what is it worth? I will be felling all size trees... mabye biggest 30" in diameter.... I am younger and fairly rugged so I am not too worried about weight... but every time I say 066 or 088 peoplr freak out and say that is way too heavy... yes i will be using this saw all day on weekends this summer... I was gonna buy new.. but i only wanna spend about 500.00 at tops and I cant find a larger saw for that can I? PS. i AM ALSO THINKING OF GETTING A SMALL POULAN OR CRAFTSMAN WITH AN 18 INCH BAR FOR LIMBING.
