I have a Husky 41 (same issue) and have kep my eyes out for the Poulan counterpart. So far, I do not see one. It is possible that Poulan simply makes the saw for Husky and does not sell a version on its own. I can easily see why Husky might not want them to sell the same saw in green. I can also see that Poulan might be under more pressure to build a higher quality saw in the 141 136 series. Soooo... you MIGHT actually be getting a better saw than a stock Poulan.

Somebody help me out here, I'm just spitballing!

For the record, the saw is no powerhouse, but is reliable and comfortable to operate.

Do a search on Husky 141. In one of those posts a guy need a saw to clean up after one of the hurricanes. He told his wife (who evacuated) to get a Husky before she returns cuz everything was still closed or sold out nearby...and she brought home a 141. He was POed when he heard it was made by Poulan, so called the Husky service rep.
He quoted the whole answer in the thread, but to summarize, the 141 is manufactured at the Electrolux plant in (Alabama?) to Husqvarna design specs, same designers as in Sweden. Some parts will interchange like fasteners but the saw is a Husky designed unit. Where was your Ford/GM transmission manufactured?

It's about time

Allen , it's about time that you said what you were trying to search . Our fellow member Max can help you with a non cat muffler for your 137 . If you'll do a search with husky 141 title and Max as author you'll get the thread with pictures .

I would still love to know what model it is..being that most of the parts cross over to poulan parts?? I will find out on tuesday..I have been researching and the muffler off a 41,141,36 and a 136 will work on that model of saw I have..The muffler number cross over to a poulan pro muffler..Of course it does not let you what model either....
