This thread can't die till I'm dead! I already have one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel.
I'm leaving Thursday, gonna mountain bike 500 miles from Dawson City to Disfuction Junction just for ***** and giggles.
To hell with the bears, I'm a little worried about getting kidnapped by a Sasquatch.

Oh yeah, The dogs will keep you safe. How many dogs you running in the traces for a bike these days.
I would imagine you can only carry enough food for two max or do you have a little tow trailer? You still managing with 2 wheels on your bike these days or have you reverted to the three on the back?
"The law of club and fang" applys to bear and Sasquatch too.

It should be "rock, paper, scissors, mean stubborn Husky dog or club?

Kind of parallels the great little book "The call of the wild" .
Buck was kidnapped from California and sold for a Canadian mail sled dog in the last gold rush. They ran between Dawson city and Skageway Alaska before eventually answering "The call off the wild". Maybe you will follow a female Sasquatch into the woods and answer " The call of the wild"?

You starting out from the Midnight Dome? Wouldn`t have to pedal much for a couple hours with the headlong rush coasting down that hill.

Great thread for sure.
Tame apes of the jungle they call us.
He men of the forest are we.
We spend our money on poker and booze,
And don't give a damn if we win or lose.
It's the carefree life in the forest we choose.
So it's back to the woods once more.
Right or wrong, the woods is where I belong. When I die don’t weep for me, just place my ashes below a tree.
