My son took her to the buddy stand this evening. But they did not see any deer. She says she is going with him tomorrow.he shoots asingle shot 20 guage, he has been through the Hunter Education program. He is very careful and is a darned good shot.
I will be about 500 yards from them in another section of woods. granted his stand is in the best location,he shoots em I will gut em and grind em up.
I made 22 pounds of fresh patty sausage and 30 pounds of burger out of the doe. Plus I made steaks out of the tenders and loins.
I have two friends wanting the heart and liver this time. Then we will have family over at noon for dinner. I figure we will be out of the stands by nine if it is cold.Or atleast the kids, Jake and Mina will be headed to the house. Unless they are seeing deer, but if he is seeing I will be hearing slugs go off.
To those of you going hunting. Good luck and be safe.
