Have you ever had a hard time starting a fire on a pit or a file of wood debris?

A tad bit of used motor oil, always have a lot from the tractors, some cardboard on the bottom and when it begins to burn, I agitate the fire with my cordless HF blower. Works every time and when the big knots start to smolder, I use my cordless blower to get them going again.. I roast everything, big ones, small ones, everything. Even green wood burns if you get it hot enough.
