Wind and Fishing

Your wind is in MT now... Thanks!

I spend as much time as possible flyfishing - except during elk bow season and pheasant season!

Jeff is right on target about the effect of the movie on MT. Luckily, most of them have moved on to other hobbies... The streams are clear again...

Below are a couple pictures from last weekend on the Big Horn River. It was seven below zero on the drive to the river and one below when we put in. It was an excellent day and we killed them.... Actually not - we caught a bunch but threw them all back. It was a beautiful float. All day there was water vapor over the river because of the cold and the trees had thick coatings of frost. It was cold, quiet and the river was mostly empty.

All this talk of fly fishing reminds me of my old friend Bob York, now passed away from prostate cancer. Best steelhead fly fisherman ever....

I've posted this about him...and other stories and pics

I heard Wenatchee was hit with winds over 100 mph....

We had more here yesterday...so far only as trace of snow at my house, which is in the south snoco, north kingco convergence zone.
