Yes I do believe he in fact did.I think they were Mall coils if I recall correctly,rare as a hens tooth.Luckily McCulloch coils are not.Any 10 series points type coil will fit that saw.

As it is,a lot of people have trouble with points type ignition system.I don't but perhaps it just goes with my age or something.:D

You mean with Lewis??I don't know,he has resurrected a bunch of them.He has the tenacity of a wolverine,doesn't stop until he gets them running.Kind of like a guy I know ,married to my wife.;)
 
Oh maybe two years ago,Magnus,Lewis B. ,McBob,myself and several others spent literally months scanning and compiling a list of all the known chainsaw IPL s in the world. I think it is pretty complete but being such a rules abiding member,I am not allowed to insert a link to another site .:angel:

Can't do that either [long story] Hint,"Google" chainsaw collectors,you will find Mike Acres web site.On that site is a link.It would have been a simple thing to just blurt it out but web sites policies are not within my grasp to change.;)
