Is still say the two splits are black birch. The more recent pic of the two rounds, closest I can guess is Hophornbeam. Try and split one and report back to us, or get a couple twig pictures, that would help a lot.
 
Got this one today, was blocking the road so it had to come down this winter. Is this an elm ?

sure looks like it although I have never cut one with bark on it
