Okay guys, there is enough wood to keep cutting all day! I stopped in a place I've been driving by and talked to the owners. A very nice older couple who didn't blink an eye when I told them the story. In fact, they might have some wood sitting in a wood shed they may give me! They have a lot of dead fall in their grove. There still is another place that I should know about Friday evening or Saturday morning which is just down the road from this place which we may not even get to!

Is there such a thing as too much wood? :msp_w00t: :msp_wink: :msp_biggrin: Bring it on!

Really wish I could help out, sounds like a great time for a great cause. Hope everyone stays safe! It never ceases to amaze me, the amount of truly great people on this board.

I ported a 2186 cylinder tonight, should have it back together by sat and would love people to run it and let me know what they think. Ill also have the 621 id like some people to beat on. Its a tough old beast but needs another couple tanks through it.

Is that the 2186 that I saw on craiglist in North Branch?

I have a tired 621. (needs a crankcase gasket, and rings, maybe a piston) It would be nice to see how a healthy one runs! The silver tops were the saws I remember a local logger use when I was a kid. I don't know if they were 621s or 80s. It would be fun to find an 80 some day.

I have a guy looking at my 038. We sill have to shoot a vid of it being cold started and cutting.

I too am interested in seeing/running that 621. I have one a former coworker gave me , in a box, completely torn down. :dizzy: Said his son straight gassed it. The cylinder looks ok but the piston did get toasted. Have the new one waiting to go in but I might as well put seals and such in it since its apart.

The 2186 is off clist. Most saw adds from north branch are me haha. The 621 is nothing close to stock but it beat a clean 801 at the races the past weekend. Its a tough grunt that still has more in it. Maybe boyd can bring the 621 that they have for a stock comparison. Anyone thats going to be down there have a spare 025 carb? Also i have jonny parts if anyone needs.

Anyone that's coming who has bulk chain willing to help me out with a loop or two? Please PM me with detail$. I do plan on running a saw again some day.

If someone wants to bring a vid cam, I could put myself to work. :msp_sneaky:

I'll have a camera along, you can click and shoot vids to your hearts content, or until the battery goes dead or the card fills up, whichever comes first.

10 lbs of ground beef (sloppy joes), 2 doz donuts, chips, jerky, H2Os, great weather, 3 or 4 saws :msp_sneaky: and a great bunch of people! What more could one ask for?

Any coffee drinkers in the bunch?

We'll have cake as well. I have most of a flat of water. And maybe even some baked beans, whats a pot luck without beans?
