Well Dan it looks like the saw auction idea is a bust. Not one response.
If you have any interest in these saws you can have them. If not I'll put them back on the shelf to collect more dust.
Sure wish someone would have chimed in about that old Crapsman. It might be a POS not worth putting gas in but saw history is always interesting to me.

I take that back.
Two bids in the open forum for the Homey and a PM bid late last night. Looks like we might have a little nest egg for you after all.

I'll have along a couple pounds of venison sticks for snackage. Sounds like you guys have the ropes/etc. pretty well covered, but if needed, I've got 120' of 3/8" Amsteel Blue with shackles and a redirect pulley if needed. Let me know, and I'll load em up. I also have a spare pair of chaps if someone wants to use em.

As far as equipment I will be bringing.

skid steer with bucket and grapple
splitter
climbing and rigging gear(1/2" & 3/4" 200' bull ropes with pulley, sling and other misc accessories)

I noticed you have been following this thread. Thanks for the "like". Obviously its not realistic givin the distance and all but it sure would be fun to have you at one of these GTG's. Being able to put a face with all the knowledge and info you provide here sure would be nice.

We will be supplying: sloppy joe and home made buns (will be made either Friday or Saturday morning fresh!) plates, utensils, and napkins.

I know one member is bringing cups. (mentioned earlier in the thread)

I don't believe anyone has signed up for drinks yet.

I think that we tried to FaceTime or Skype SawTroll at one GTG. Time change was also a factor.

(But if we are going to try this, please let me know in advance so that I don't bring my Echo!)

Make it to the worksite by 9. Gotta roll out somewhere between 3 and 4pm- got a fundraiser for a customer who lost his place in a fire last fall up in Grantsburg.

Safety. Keep the saw out of your leg and the guys leg next to you! Keep an eye out for the other guy. Let's finish the day with everyone with all of the parts they came with! Treat the farmers land with respect. He knows a group is coming. Except for a few trees that will be pointed out, we're only cutting dead ones.

We'll start the meeting at 8:15 in front of my wood shed. Someone have a "release of liability sheet" they could send me for guys to sign?

Depending on the weather, we could have a fire. Looks like it's going to be fairly warm with a high of 28.
