Chainsaw wouldn't start, and I heard rattling from the muffler. Pulled the cover off and found nothing, then I pulled the muffler body off and this fell out from behind the muffler.
Can anyone tell me what it is?

This is the inside of the muffler. It almost looks like it could have been the top of that baffle, but not quite.

Look to be part of the baffle that was poorly crimped in place, and/or missing a spot weld(s)

I guess even the mufflers are POS to replace OEM.

Do the plastic covers hold up?

I've torn several 660's down to nothing, that ain't part of a 660.
