I really wanted to go. I even got some new stuff that needs some run time, but I will be in orlando till 6/26/09. Hopefully it is a sucess and you guys will do it again.

Well, I forgot that you mentioned you were going to be out of town....I'll hoist one for 'ya. If you're coming back on 6/26, you could treat me to a birthday lunch...Cheeburger Cheeburger in Sterling is awesome!

Uh... cuz there are a crapload of them in the other "Homelite" threads...

Gary

I almost fell off my chair laughing when I read this...I don't really know why but I think it's hilarious how blunt you are.

I have my Dad's old 924. It is the same family as the 921, 923, but looks very much like a 925. 5 cubic inches and still runs great after 37 years.

Yes, Gary. I brought this page back from page 6. :D

I just picked up a box of NOS and some used parts (used - a couple of carbs, etc).

Being almost totally unaware of what saws these parts fit, I am in real need of some help from the Homelite gurus.

If I was to take pics would anyone be able to tell me which saws the parts belong to?

I have 2 boxes of air filter material (no plastic on them to speak of). Those might be easy, but I also have some connecting rods, seals, rings, etc.

Is it worth posting the pics up in this thread?

Any (as in ANY) assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Homelite e-z automatic type 10104

Just aquired my father's Homelite E-Z Automatic type 10104. Gas line from the tank to carb was completely dissolved. It starts if I put gas in the cylinder. I am assuming that even though I put a new gas line on it probably sucked up crap through the fitting. Who is the AS Homelite guru? I need a carb kit I would reckon...

Anyone....Anyone....

I'm nut a guru by any stretch of the imagination. However, I just replaced a dissolved fuel line in a 2000 and a 2100 just today. I also rebuilt the carbs. If the saw sat long enough for the fuel line to dissolve, most likely the diaphragms are hard anyway. Mine were both full of stuff that didn't belong and the diaphragms were shot.

so the question now is...where do I get a carb kit for this???

Edge&Engine, one of the site sponsors. Kyle is great to work with. Just go to his site and you'll find it just fine. If you have any difficulty, PM me and I'll help you further.

E-Z Automatic

A little dirty but here it is. Carb says Homlite HDC on it, Walbro private label?

I totaly agree,
The carb is most likely in need of a cleaning
and a diaphram kit.

Those Super E-Z's are fun little saws. Like was said before get with Kyle if you don't want to bother looking around for the carb kit, and while your at it, he can fix you up with the fuel line also as I just got some of the original black Homelite fuel line from him awhile ago.

He also should have the original fuel filter felts for it.

150 anyone?

Thanks to Barnyrb for the coil, I just got this little 150 going. Seems like a nice little runner and cuts about like a Super E-Z from what little time I tried it.

The design of it is kinda a pain, but not too bad once you figure it out. I don't know why, but I kinda like this one. Looks rougher then it is mechanically, as it has really good compression and runs pretty good.

Brian, just for giggles call Dotzler implement up in Aitkin. He sold hundreds of Homies, likely sold this one to your Dad, and has parts in stock going way back. For sure worth a call.

Need help

Have a homelite super 2 that runs strong. Need a service manual. It spews white smoke and I know that the mix is right. Maybe a carb setting that I don't know about. Also does the automatic oiler have an adjustment? Need help with it cause I'm just learning and I love the little saw.

Thx In Advance / Mike
