Good find here. C52 in " original patina". Cleaned up and a little love on the fairbanks /morse shes a runner. The last one I had I bought a drum / rim 3/8 .063 from Little Red Barn . I ran a 24" Remmington bar .058 worn out with the roller cut to .062 on a cutting wheel. Glad to have another worker around.

Starting my XP-1000, I set the fast idle, pull the choke and pull it over three times with the kill switch off. Set it at half choke, turn on the spark and pull like you mean it.

A rich mixture will kick back less than a lean.

Finally got the frankensaw together.. And running I might add..now what to do with it.. I changed out the coil assembly with another saw that had a chip. Runs great. Who'da'thunk?? Anyway, thought Homelite folks would get a kick out of it..

The muffler guard and cylinder cover are 1050.

I don't think I could handle anything bigger.. My go-to saw is the 360.. Just about right for the work I do. Milling is the Jonsered 2094.. But that's downhill and not really holding the saw up. Starting and ending gets tricky sometimes but I'm getting better

That's what I said at the last GTG, it's only heavy when you are holding it. It's very light in the wood.

I posted this question on HOH and asked a couple collector friends. On Acres site, between the 20MCS at 108 CC's and the 26LCS at 109 CC's is a model 23. It's listed at 8.4 CI, 138 CC's. Bore 2.250" and stroke 2.125". Has anyone ever seen or heard of the Model 23?

For comparison, a Super 2 is 31 CC'ss, 1.4375" bore, and 1.1875" stroke. So I don't think it's a misprint on the CC's. That bore and stroke is pretty big.

The cc's are correct. Its big, but not the biggest bore, a 24 generator 2 stroke engine has a 2 5/8 bore.
