So I picked this saw up for 20$ because it had a huge bow bar on it. It looked to have been partially crushed one bar stud bent and handle is mangled. It didn't pop for me so I chipped it and it runs on prime and has some pretty stout pull on the starter!
Does the zip handle fit? The wiz.
Oh and the brass push rod for the oiler seems frozen in place, can they be removed from the bore?

Tore down a Super 2100 and a 2100 AO. Freshening up the Super 2100 and seeing if the 2100 AO will be a runner. Had to get serious in order to break the clutch hub loose on the 2100 AO. I suspect that the ignition chip on the Super 2100 was installed because the previous owner couldn't get the rotor off. It took some finesse to pull it.

I always heard the first 2100s had a threaded clutch. Never tore mine down to verify. I only ever disassembled my later 2100S and super 2100s and all are splined.

Fun to work on.

The 2100 I have has a threaded center. Cracked casting. [emoji90]

Iffin you find a threaded spider I could use it. [emoji1696]

Any of you Homelite guys up for some horse trading? I am looking to trade off some Homelites.
I am looking for an 82cc McCulloch eg PM850, SP81, 8200, DE80, etc.
Looking to trade power head only.
The saws I'm offering for trade are runners.
I have a Super XL925, new fuel line, runs as it should, relatively clean saw.
C71, new fuel lines, carb rebuild, some mix and match parts, not real pretty, but runs as it should,
XL102, very clean saw, new fuel lines and grommets, carb kit, duckbills including the fuel tank duck bill behind the carb box, new oil line and check valve.
I also have 2 super XLs in decent running, user shape.
Let me know, what you have, which of these saws you are interested in and we will see if we can work something out.

Powerwise they're pretty close I've noticed. The Mac's usually have a slight increase in RPM's everything else being equal.Neither one will let you down when things are running good, its all a matter of personal preference.Myself I have 1 of each,I play no favorites really lol

How's that sxl925 compare power wise to a 82cc Mac? They are also 82cc and seem to have a good following so just curious.

I agree, I think the 850 has an edge with the speed over the 925, both pull 32" bars very well. The 925 definitely has torque over the 800 and is noticable with a 32" bar, they are pretty close with a 28". I've found that Macs are much smoother than a 925. I would like to know how they both compare with a p51 though.

I'd love to add a 925 and a p51 to my fleet to find out! My sp81 doesn't run perfect and even still flat out rocks.

I've got a couple P50s, a 924 and a SP81. I've never had them out at the same time before. I do remember being impressed with the SP81 though. Although i'd bet they're all quite similar. I have run the same 32" bar and chain on all of them and all the cutting would have been in softwood.

Yard sale. Worked a deal.

15 min. and both the XL-1 and 130 are running well. Super 2 ran when put away. Piston on the 130 is clean and it has the larger clutch. Prestolite fired right up. New Stihl chisel on it's second or third filing now. Intake block may have had a bit of repair work done by the external looks of things. XL-1 is the 2.3 ci version with the earlier single ring (land) setup. Compression is great and looks clean. Piston has been removed from the auto oiler. Manual only atm. New LGX as well.

This one would fit right in there.

Working on a Super 2 today. Carb kit installed and now am curious how to set needle valve arm height? It had 0.031 stamped on plate.
Carb is HDC-57
Thanks in advance

Couple of questions. When I turn my s1050 on its side and not running gas leaks out of the carb throat. It has new diaphragm and gaskets I didn't replace the main needle it all looked good, but did replace all the other gaskets, I tested the check valve, it blows and wont suck. Next I'm replacing a P/C on a UT 10739 Big Red (PO straight gassed it) with an older model UT10045 blue SXLAO cylinder/piston and using new rings, the rear muffler mount hole sticks out further on the old cylinder than it did on the Big Red cylinder, but the muffler seems to bolt on okay, not sure if this okay or I need to sue the older muffler. Thanks

Replace main valve as it is leaking the fuel
Make sure lever height is correct as well
