Here's another project i just started and thought i would share.
A Homelite Super 2100 in need of some help. Motor was stuck so i
warmed the cylinder with a heat gun and added plenty of PB Blaster
and she freed up. I disassembled cleaned and bead blasted all parts
that are to be painted red. I had my local napa store match up some
nice single stage urethane paint. I hope to have the parts painted
tomorrow night. I'm still waiting for a few parts and gaskets so it will
be a bit before it's done.

Nice job there Lee. I'm always impressed with how nice freshly beadblasted parts look. I see you got the nice big spike for it. I hope that those thin rings are in good shape cause they are hard to find. You could use Mac 125 rings. They are the right thickness. Bill and I figured it would work if you grind 0.030 off the 125 rings.

Right now the rings are stuck in the piston.
So i'm going to assume they are no good.
Tomorrow i am going to try to get them free
and send one to Wiseco and see if they can make
me some.
I would like a fresh set and if i can get the right size
i will go that route.

nope, nevermind looked again, that one was thrashed....

Looks like your doing good so far, can't wait to see it finished. You have that same tedious task ahead of you that I did in painting the white stripes and letters on the air filter lid like on that Super E-Z that I did.

I can't wait to see the finished product!

Everything got painted last night.
I matched the color to a few original Homelites,
And a couple saws the color was right on. A couple
others were just a hair off.
Going to let the paint dry a few days before assembling.

This saw came from Washington so not sure where all
the corrosion came from. Could have been Pacific salt air.
Or just sitting in a moist area for years.
