Homie xl ao carb issue, help?

I recently got one of the more modern Homelite Super XL Aoutmatics, it’s red. Anyways, it does pull fuel, kind of. It start on pull 5 with no drink. However it won’t stay running unless I pay a lot of attention to the choke. Take choke off and then put back on in 4 second intervals to prevent it from dying. Any ideas?

too lean for some reason, either 1. not getting enough fuel, or 2. getting way too much air.

various reasons for both, carb rebuild, fuel line, filter, tank vent, check for cause 1. For cause 2, vacuum leak, bad crank seals, loose carb bolts... taking in extra air somewhere.
