Polaris ace pulling polar 1500 trailer and DHT 28 ton splitter. Equipment on ace and in trailer.
That's a nice setup.
It looks as if the trailer axle is pushed back on the driver's side.
Nice avatar, thought about changing mine to that today, glad I popped in here lol.
Here's the back of the suburban when I take it out to the 50 acres we cut on or almost anywhere else I go. I built a shelf in there so I can keep my tools, cables chains, steel wedges, straps on the bottom and the top: splitters, 2 gallons gas mixed, 2 gallons gas extra, saw tool box (chains, plastic wedges, extra glasses, ear plugs, files, throw ball, marker, file guides, 2-stroke oil......)husky power box (goes everywhere I go, has the ms200rear handle, ear muffs, glasses, screnchs, bar oil), and usually 3 saws because I don't like to have to fuel:).20160329_085356.jpg This is what it looks like when I have to take some of it out like last weekend, big ole pile:(.1460028597122.jpg

I get my saws to the woods more than one way .

I've polly got more ways to get the saws to the woods , just no pics :chainsaw:

If I could find another good one ....

IMG_20150607_152558.jpg

Sure hauled saws and a lot of wood with it , close to 15 full cord over 2 years with it , saws every load , even had the saws in the front seat a couple of times :)
FWIW my bro in law had a rusted out AWD Eagle station wagon. He cut the roof off and used it like a jeep around his property for several years until it finally fell apart. Could turn a new van into a "hybrid" with an open air rear LOL.

Ok, had to go to the deep woods today, managed to make about 2/3 of a cords worth of cuts, and heres how I got there.20160411_192258.jpg My wife's students needed a bunch of cookies for a new trail they are going to build. I saw these logs laying all over this guys yard and today he was there and I was able to talk him into letting me cut some of it up:).20160411_190318.jpg I had my tractor down the street at a buddies about 1/4 mile so I just loaded what I needed in the bucket.

swell pix! I like your round disc totem pole..... :)

IMG_2528.JPG IMG_2522.JPGThis is a pallet fork plat form - I dont have any finished pics but i have saw holders and stake pocket sides - I like this better than a carry all that mounts to the 3pt I have 3pt forks that I use along with the ones on the loader. I take this back into woods and set it down near project - then I have the forks on the loader for moving trees - when im done I just load up and head back to house

That looks like it works well.
I also like the idea with the truck tool box, it would be even cooler if I had a truck then I could set it right in the back when I was done in the woods:).

I just put mine in the bed of my truck and drive. Too simple? Does that make me weird??

well, nice trailer, that's for sure... hope you are feeling better soon... BL
Thanks BL.
I was able to get into the chiropractor a little bit ago and feeling better :).
Keeping on topic. Sometimes around my place I will use my quad and trailer or just bring the wheelbarrow into the woods. All depends on the day.20151022_154921.jpg Black Locust :sweet:.20151219_152004.jpg

It was hard to see the shelf I built so I figured I'd make it a little clearer.1460470191806.jpg
There is a piece I can remove or lift up to get to my tool box also. The plan is to put a piano style hinge on it, but I wanted to see how it worked before I bought it. I like it a lot and will try to find one when I can, but it works fine as is and I won't be going much out of my way for it. 1460470095653.jpg
I left my saws/accessories in the bucket and threw the cookies on the shelf and dropped them at the school last night and then went back for the saws. The shelf adds a lot more usable storage.
One thing to consider if anyone decides to build one is all this stuff is in the passenger compartment and could fly all over the suburban if in an accident or you are not careful, also that if your saws like to dribble either oil or gas you may have a mess or get a buzz while driving. I hit the bottom of my husky bars with brake parts cleaner(to the right in the picture) if doing a lot of smaller cutting with a longer bar, stilhs don't have this issue as much.

Thanks BL.
