I have been wanting a bigger saw to my 2159 and have been thinking of getting a 2171 Jonsered but I really like the power and feel of my 044 but it is now were near as smooth in the cut as my 2159 okay call me a sissy but my 2159 has spoiled me! But I also like my 044 and cant help wonder how a 441 compares to vibes. I feel like a sissy saying this after Running my big mac for years but the new saw's sure feel smooth in the cut.

I got the opportunity to run a 441 head to head with a MS 460 and a MS 660. It was rather funny because everybody wanted the 660 and the 460 at the beginning of the day but by lunch time it was a foot race to see who could get to the 441 first. They are amazingly smooth and it was keeping up with the MS 460. I would recommend one to anybody.

Just my noob opinion on the subject.

Got a chance to show off the 441 to a guy this weekend while taking down some trees in his back yard. He had not run a chainsaw in 20 yrs. and he says "this is a totally different animal, I can still feel my hands"....

The 441 is the only saw of the spring anti vibe type that put my hands to sleep. It seemed to have a buzz to it. It may have been an issue with the saw I had but 10 minutes into the first tank both hands were numb.

I was worried about something like that! as I find my Jred really smooth but my 044 does make me tingle after cutting with it. But it feels so good to handle that saw I have to find a dealer that will let me cut with it to form my own opinion but thanks for all those who's input on here will help me decide. Despite the vibes that 044 of mine has grown on me but the Jred still looks better sitting still.

The 441 is usually (if not always) reported to be Husky smooth......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Especially if said Husky has diarrhea.............;)

Never had a saw make my hands numb.

The 441 is very smooth............just run one...........judge for yourself!!!

I've run 20-25 tanks through mine so far and it has quite a bit more power than new. It is pretty smooth too. I find myself gripping the handle a bit too tight I guess because my hands don't think they are holding a saw!;)

I just bought an MS280 and it's pretty smooth too, but it's antivibe is a bit soft. Course the other 2 saws that I regularly use are an 009 and an 041av. A tractor rides smooth compared to them.
