I'm coming up on a traffic light. I normally go straight, but I know making a left is a total P.I.T.A. since it's fairly busy and no left arrow. Often if you didn't sneak ahead of the on-coming cars when you both got a green, you'd have to wait in the middle of the intersection till it was a red light again.
There's a F-350 parked there with it's tailgate down and about 3' of plywood stacked in the 6-1/2' bed -- which had a plastic liner.
Light turns green, the driver punched it to try and beat the on-coming traffic.
It was like a Looney Tunes cartoon...the plywood did not move at all. The truck drove out from under it, and I swear the plywood stayed in mid-air long enough for Wiley E. Coyote to pull out a sign...and then it came down onto the pavement with a thud still perfectly stacked.
